Colt 1877 & Beaded Holster
Circa 1900
A very nice Colt 1877 & Beaded Holster. The holster is a turn-of-the-century beaded holster with a .41 Colt 1877 double action revolver.

Revolver Condition
THE GUN is a Colt Thunderer with a 6” barrel, serial #119940, made in 1900. It is in overall fine condition showing approximately 80% of its original thinning blue and muted case colored frame, hammer and trigger. The action is good – working in both single and double action. Also, the cylinder locks up tight. In addition, all the markings are sharp and clear and in all the correct locations. The original hard rubber grips are also in fine condition and fit perfect. The bore is very good with typical erosion from black powder use.

Holster & Belt Condition
THE RIG is a beautiful beaded holster with a U.S. marked plain leather belt. The beads are the early small beads attached with cotton thread. The thread has become fragile with age resulting in some losses of the beads. I have the holster stored in a plastic bag to protect it and some of the beads have come loose in the bag. Other than that, the holster is in very good condition. The accompanying belt is a later U.S. Military belt dated 1937. The belt shows a brass military style buckle. Also, the leather is solid and in good condition.
It is a great looking outfit with a nice Colt revolver and would make a very nice display,
