California Pattern Slim Jim Holster

Circa 1873-1875

This is an early California pattern slim jim holster incorporating a buckskin lining, triple throat recurve, semi-contoured main seam, open toe and beautiful hand tooled floral embellished pouch all the way around to the back side.

Slim Jim Holster – Condition

The holster is in fine condition with no damage or losses. It shows most all of its original stitching.  Along with some added stitching at the pouch body seam. About 95% of the buckskin lining is still present with solid original stitching at the pouch opening. Also, the belt loop is attached with period copper rivets with some shaggy loop edges from belt wear.

This is a great looking high quality made holster, maker unknown, that would display well with an early high condition period revolver.
