Texas Jockstrap Holster

This holster is made for the rare 4” Colt Single Action Army Sheriff’s model, but will also accommodate a standard model 1878 Colt Double Action revolver, with a 4 ¾” barrel (pictured). However, it will not accept a standard Colt SAA with a 4 ¾” barrel. It is a rare find and in excellent overall condition, retaining all of its original stitching.

S.D. Myers was a famous Texas maker from the early 1900’s to 1950 and was known for their high-quality leather work. A very similar S.D. Myers holster is pictured in “Packing Iron”, page 125. They provided a great deal of gun leather to Hollywood in the early years.
