A beautiful Colt 1877 Double Action Revolver, .41 caliber, made in 1885. A factory letter (included) confirms all features; .41/c. barrel length 4 ½”, nickel finish, shipped to “Lamberson Furman & Co., New York, on Dec. 30, 1885”. It was also noted as a one-gun shipment. Its serial number is #54579.


Colt 1877 D.A. Revolver – Condition
The revolver has all matching numbers in all the correct locations. It is in excellent overall condition, showing 95% of the original nickel and faded case colors on the hammer and trigger. Also, the original rubber grips fit perfect and show no wear. In addition, all the markings are sharp and clear and the etched panel “COLT D. A. 41” is perfect. The action is also good, working in both double and single action. The cylinder locks up tight. The bore shows strong rifling. However, with minor erosion from black powder use.



A very nice, un-touched, high condition, early 1877 Double Action revolver in the desirable .41 caliber.
