Texas Marked Rig

for a Colt 4-3/4″ SAA

A great piece of antique gun leather is our Texas Marked Rig. A very nice turn of the century Texas marked belt and tooled holster for a Colt .44/.45 with a 4 ¾” barrel.

The Belt

The belt is marked “E.T. Amonett – Maker -, El Paso, Tex.” E.T. Amonett Saddleries were in El Paso from 1902 – 1940. The belt is very nicely made showing hand stitching throughout. It is 2” wide x 38” long with 40 cartridge loops for .44/.45 caliber bullets.

The Holster

The holster has no markings. It shows a wide single loop and beautiful period floral tooling. The holster loop and pouch throat are decorated with nickel spots. Also, It shows a leather laced pouch and the lacing is fully intact. The holster is in overall excellent condition.

A great looking, Texas made, turn of the century rig. It goes great with a fancy Colt SAA with ivory/pearl grips.
