44 Flat Rimfire Ammo

A very desirable full box of 44 Flat rimfire ammo, Winchester brand. This box of .44 “Henry” cartridges has been opened and contains all 50 original cartridges.

Condition

The cartridges are in very good un-cleaned condition, all having the “H” head stamp. The overall condition of the box is also is very good. The green colored lid shows one small gouge at the top. Otherwise, it is excellent, with both end labels present. The box shows a satin finish coating of clear lacquer spray. 

There is a remnant of cellophane tape on the sides that originally taped the lid closed but now missing from the bottom of the box.  Although, there are some other gouges on the front side, it is nothing serious. The box still looks good, solid, with no repairs and is very good overall.

This was the last style of Winchester .44 Flat rimfire cartridge boxes they produced up into the early 20^th century.
